Live Healthy

You may have heard a lot about living a healthy lifestyle, but what does that mean? In general, a healthy person eats a healthy balanced meal, does not smoke, is free from any diseases and exercises regularly. Simply put a healthy person is a happy person.

Making small changes in how you live each day can lead to big rewards; it doesn’t have to mean drastic changes. Check out these quick and easy changes below which are sure to make a huge difference in the way you feel.

Exercise

Exercise

Helps you to be focused and increases awareness. It reduces stress, reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Exercise also gets your muscles and blood at work while doing your routine activities. Use these simple ways to exercise and improve your health:

Do some chores around the yard – Find some time to fix that broken pipe or do some gardening to help flex those muscles.

Turn that TV off and get out of bed – Too much time in front of the TV can take a serious toll on your health. If you love to dance, then join an aerobics or a dance class. It can be substituted for one hour of your gym time. You can even dance at home with family if they are around.

Walk some more – Daily exercise may be the closest thing we have to a fountain of youth. A quick 30-minute walk each day, for example, can lower the risk of heart diseases.

Eating Healthy

Eating Healthy

Avoid eating junk food, they are enticing but fill your body with tons of calories. Instead you can add salads to your diet as they are high in fiber and low in calorie and also help you avoid having more unhealthy foods. Use these tips for some easy ways to eat healthy:

Eat more fruits – Fresh fruits are always advisable as they are low calorie foods and high in vitamins and mineral supplements. Have some dry fruits as they have shown to raise energy levels and productivity. Fruits and vegetables are filled with nutritional fiber and vitamins which can lower your risk of heart disease and may even play a role in decreasing your risk of breast cancer.

Eat your vegetable – According to “The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition” people with high intake of vitamin C have fewer wrinkles. Many vegetables are rich in Vitamin C which offer protection against aging, thus reducing the rate at which your skin wrinkles.

Reduce fat intake – A small amount of fat is needed but it should be used sparingly due to the high energy content.
